Description

Helium is a colorless, odorless, odorless, and gaseous atmospheric gas at normal temperature with the lowest critical temperature. It is the most difficult gas to liquefy found in nature. Ammonia gas has very low chemical activity and cannot be burned or combustible. Helium in the air is about 5.2 parts per million and can theoretically be extracted from the air, but it is so thin that it is expensive to separate. Liquid helium can be used for ultra-low temperature cooling with its low boiling point of -268.9 ℃.

Application

Helium is essential for superconductor applications that are getting a lot of attention in areas like floating trains.

Helium gas is widely used in military industry, scientific research, petrochemical, refrigeration, medical treatment, semiconductor, pipeline leak detection, superconducting experiment, metal manufacturing, deep sea diving, high-precision welding, optoelectronic products production.

Helium is also commonly used as a filling gas in spaceships and advertising balloons because it is chemically inert and lighter than air.
