Description

SF6 is a colorless gas with an irritating odor. It is widely used in electric appliances with excellent insulating and arc extinguishing properties.

It is also used in metal smelting for its some properties of chemically inert, non-toxic, non-combustible, and non-corrosive properties.

Electron grade high purity sulfur hexafluoride is widely used in microelectronics technology as an ideal gas for electron etching.

As a single film fiber isolation layer dopant in the manufacture of optical fiber, as a tracer in the field of air pollution monitoring and hydrogeological detection, contrast agent of contrast-enhanced ultrasound examination of liver tumors is also used as hexatritiated sulfur.

Used as sulfur hexafluoride circuit breaker, interconductance sensor, sulfur hexafluoride lightning rod arc extinguishing gas, used as magnesium aluminum alloy die casting protection gas.
